DSCN2271 * ...... but it was this rock. Friday morning. * 2048 x 1536 * (673KB)

DSCN2272 * Something's not quite right here! * 2048 x 1536 * (614KB)

DSCN2273 * I couldn't work out what this structure was for. There was a shed at the end of the path/track/rails to the right of this viewpoint. This is at approx NN561931. * 2048 x 1536 * (679KB)

DSCN2274 * Panini and tea. Delicious. Oh, and a public toilet opposite. * 2048 x 1536 * (640KB)

DSCN2275 * (Sign was behind me) I like these old signs. I'm not sure whether someone has consciously decided to retain it, or if the Council just hasn't got round to removing it. * 2048 x 1536 * (641KB)

DSCN2277 * Alongside the old A9 - now a cycle route. * 2048 x 1536 * (741KB)

DSCN2278 * Saturday. Shortly after leaving Newtonmore, walking along the south edge of the woods to the West of Loch Gynack. * 2048 x 1536 * (623KB)

DSCN2279 * Loch Gynack * 2048 x 1536 * (628KB)

DSCN2280 * This was a slog. I can't remember if I was lost, but I certainly wasn't walking on the track that the map had suggested was there. I just used the red roof of the bothy as something to aim for. * 2048 x 1536 * (591KB)

DSCN2281 * Looking back at the lovely stalking hut. It was unlocked but I just sat in the porch and had a cheese and onion butty. * 2048 x 1536 * (665KB)

Hurrah for the Macphersons. Their cairn has a couple of comfy benches with a pleasant view. Jim and I had a spot of lunch before continuing on to Newtonmore.
